Walking tour in La Boca and Isla Maciel, to visit a program of community-based tourism.

Highlights

Take a local bus in the Plaza de Mayo to La Boca. Upon arrival, we walk around "Caminito" street and surroundings while our guide tells the history of the neighborhood, immigrants, work in the port and other features that make La Boca an unique and unrepeatable place in the city.
Then we cross the Riachuelo through the huge bridge to visit the most important attractions of the Isla Maciel. Local people will tell us the history and the characteristic elements of the identity of the neighborhood. We enjoy a homemade lunch at the Convent and then visit the High School with its art projects and organic garden. During the tour we will appreciate the various graffitis made by local and foreign artists.
We return to La Boca in a small boat crossing the river after discovering the less touristy side of the city.
